Representation matters on nonprofit boards.
BoardSeat can help.
About BoardSeat
We know from the private sector that demographic diversity drives better decision making, spurs innovation, and reshapes organizational culture for the better. So why are so few people of color and women present on nonprofit boards?
Recently launched by Aditi Davray, BoardSeat aims to help individuals find meaningful and available board positions, and nonprofits connect with diverse candidates to fill new board positions. BoardSeat is open to all and will be prioritizing the placement of people of color on nonprofit boards.
Driven by the mission of helping organizations reimagine their power structures and foster representation on their boards, BoardSeat is poised to create lasting change and looking for organizations ready to do the same!
Only 22% of board seats are held by people of color.
Similarly, only 43% of nonprofit board seats are held by women.
Here’s how we change that. Together.
